Houston, TX, March 31, 2000 - SmartDriver is participating in the American Cancer Society's Evergreen Gala 2000 tomorrow in Dallas, the city's premier fundraiser for cancer research. The company is donating a one-year rental of its SmartDriver vehicle monitoring system for the Gala's silent action. SmartDriver is the first device that allows parents (or businesses) to keep track of how their vehicle is being driven. With a little black box scarcely larger than a deck of cards and weighing just 5 ounces, SmartDriver records vehicle speed, engine speed, throttle usage, idle time, starts and stops, distance traveled, and the date and time of all vehicle activity. By simply plugging into any passenger car or truck, SmartDriver records a month's worth of driving activity without any installation or special tools. By plugging the black box back into a Windows PC, the system converts the driving activity into clear, concise reports to view, print, or save for later.
